Reporting a player or a custom map

Coldfront has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content. There are three ways to report, and all of them reach the same inbox:

  • In a multiplayer lobby, tap REPORT on the player's row — the report carries the offending name with it.
  • On a shared custom map, tap REPORT on the map preview — the report carries the map with it.
  • After you've left the room, use Settings → Report a player or map, or just email [email protected] directly — that one is a blank form you fill in yourself, so tell us the name and the room code if you have it.

Every report is reviewed within 24 hours. Offensive names and map titles go into the filter that rejects them at the source, so they cannot be used again.

Blocking is separate and immediate, and needs nothing from us: block a player from the lobby and their name is no longer shown to you, any map they share is not drawn, and that room will not start a match — if you joined it the game takes you out, and if you are hosting it, leave and host again for a new code. Blocked players are managed under Settings → Blocked players. Two limits worth knowing, and the game says so too: blocking is keyed to a player's name, so someone who changes their name could appear again — report them as well as blocking them, so the name itself gets filtered; and rooms have no accounts, so a block cannot keep someone out of a later room you join. It takes effect again there instead — hiding them, and ending that room for you.

When emailing about a bug

The version and build number are shown in Settings → About. Including them (and what you were doing) makes it far quicker to track down.
